How We Care
Legacy Pride
NetFlorist does not only focus its energies on making sure it remains South Africa’s largest flower and gifting supplier in the country, it also supports two non-profit organisations as part of its corporate social investment programmes. Cotlands and the Legacy Pride initiative each benefit from NetFlorist’s partnership with them.
Legacy Pride
The Legacy Pride anti-crime initiative has benefited greatly from the exposure NetFlorist has afforded it. In November 2009 NetFlorist took a stand against crime when it teamed up with initiative by making the stuffed toys in the Legacy Pride range available on its website.

Legacy Pride sells the stuffed toys to raise funds for the national drive to combat crime. It also encourages South Africans to act together and identify as one “pride” in the fight against crime. The Legacy Hotel Group launched the initiative in honour of Bruno Corte, one of the company’s founders and Bart Dorrestein junior, son of Corte’s co-founder. Both died violent deaths as a result of random lawlessness. The first two stuffed toys, both lions, could be found in the rooms at the Legacy Hotels. They carried the names of either Bruno or Bartie in memory of the men who had lost their lives. The Pride has grown to include a Rhino named David in memory of Rattray, Leigh the Giraffe after Leigh Matthews, and a monkey named Brett in memory of Brett Goldin. All of these toys are available on www.netflorist.co.za
