Eugene Vorster

Eugene Vorster, an arm amputee himself, heads SADGA with dedicated commitment and passion. In 2002 Eugene moved from SANLAM into the golf industry where he took up a position within SAGDB (South African Golf Development Board) which is based at the Vodacom Village in Somerset West. Here, under guidance, Eugene was allowed time to initiate and develop SADGA.

SADGA grew and grew and the demands on Eugene meant that he needed to concentrate all his time, energy and resources on the the Association. So in 2004 he left SAGDB to work full time for SADGA. In July 2004 SADGA was registered as a section 21. company with a Board of Directors, and in 2007 SADGA moved to their first official offices at King David Golf Club, Cape Town.
