Is a media-centric HTML-format newsletter that reaches over 11 000 readers each week, providing a space for publishers, producers, journalists and media mavens to find information relevant to the local media environment. It is supported by a website, www.mediaupdate.co.za, which is updated on a daily basis with the latest news from the dynamic and ever-changing world of media. The Updates editorial team also provides its own insights into the latest developments and events in the In Focus and Editorial Desk articles. The Media Update website was recently revamped to include an in-house blog; white papers defining the latest ‘must-know’ new concepts in the field; a glossary of industry-specific terms, tagging of specific words in our archive of over 25 000 stories; a gallery of photographs from exciting industry-related functions; and a calendar of media, communication and advertising events. There’s also a popular new entertainment section on the website, where we feature the latest film; stage; book; and CSI news. The website also features our weekly Media Update vodcast, which provides a summary of the latest announcements featured in the newsletter.

TotallyMAd is the newest addition to our publication portfolio, focused on the marketing and advertising industries. Every week, the HTML-format newsletter summarises the latest news from these sectors of the media world, including account gains, case studies, and the latest campaigns, with the full stories available online at www.totallymad.co.za, as well as opinion pieces and research from the Newsclip marketing and Updates team. These newsletters go out to over 11 000 opt0in subscribers each week, and we welcome their feedback. One can also browse through the weekly publications online, and view the weekly totallyMAd vodcast which provides a snapshot of trends making waves in the industry.

This is a premier information source that caters to the South African public relations and communications industries. The easy-to-read newsletter supplies information on CSI campaigns, the latest appointments and publicity accounts, as well as agency profiles. We also track down the latest developments and interview key industry figures to provide our readers with valuable time-based content in the form of our Editorial Desk and In Focus articles. The website, www.publicityupdate.co.za, also provides information about trends, new accounts and awards, and is linked to the Media Update blog, gallery, glossary and calendar. The website features the Publicity Update vodcast, presented by our Updates team each week to keep you in the know with highlights of the latest announcements making our headlines.
