The Future of HR Awards celebrates Southern Africa’s most effective leaders in people management strategies & HR innovation.

The awards are presented in two categories: organisation awards and individual awards. Lee was recognised among three individual winners and picked up the award for HR Rising Star of the Year.

“In February, I was nominated as a director’s choice for the Future of HR Awards. It was one hundred percent worth pursuing as the recognition provided an excellent platform and relevant audience to tell the story of Travelstart’s people journey. We enjoy a progressive way of working and the environment is home for people with an entrepreneurial mindset … our CEO leads from the front in this regard,” said Lee. “I’m really happy to be recognised for the work we do.”

Winners of the Future of HR Awards were selected by an independent advisory council of 12 judges including Edna Sathekga-Montse (Diversity & Inclusion Exec, Barclays Africa), Colin Leshou (CEO, SA Board for People Practices), Jeanett Modise (Executive Head of HR & Transformation, Santam) and Rebone Seleoane (Human Resources VP, Anglophone Africa).
