The new devices launching today are the Portégé X20W-E and X30-E, the Tecra X40-E, A50-E and Z50-E, and the Satellite Pro A50-E and R50-E.

The E-Generation laptops are elegantly designed and provide a range of features to provide enhanced security, seamless connectivity and reliability. These updates to Toshiba’s portfolio further demonstrate Toshiba’s expertise in B2B PCs, offering robust devices that are designed to be ultra-mobile, ultra-thin and lightweight without compromising on high power and performance.

Powerful and professional performance

The new E-Generation range is elegantly designed for long-lasting versatility, durability and interior performance. For example, the Portégé X30-E is equipped with a non-reflective touchscreen and brand new In-Cell Touch technology that enables professionals to navigate and interact with content without compromising the design or display of the device. Devices within the new range are available with up to 8th Generation Intel® Core™ processors, offering incredible power and performance. The devices have exceptionally fast DDR4 (2400Mhz) RAM and come complete with a new 1TB SSD.

“The launch of our new E-Generation devices further demonstrates our ambition to provide the fastest and most powerful laptops for professionals on the go,” said Maki Yamashita, Senior Vice President, PC & Solutions EMEA, Toshiba Europe GmbH. “We understand that our users’ working patterns are continuing to evolve, and so we aim to provide laptops that offer them the same performance, regardless of where they’re working from.  Our latest range will provide a mix of high performance, security, mobility and connectivity – and is ideal for today’s business user.”

Secure and connected

The E-Generation range is designed to protect businesses’ data with advanced security features built in. Features including a touchpad with an in-built fingerprint reader called SecurePad™ are available in all of the new Portégé and Tecra devices, as well as the Satellite Pro A50-E. In addition to this, an IR-camera for face authentication through Windows Hello or Intel® Authenticate is available in the Portégé X20W-E and X30-E and the Tecra X40-E. With Toshiba’s own built-in BIOS and TPM 2.0 encryption, users are further assured that the risk of third party interference which could leave a product more vulnerable to attacks is significantly reduced.

To maximise connectivity, the Portégé X20W-E and X30-E and Tecra X-40-E will offer built-in LTE support.

Premium portability and reliability

Within their sleek designs, the new range provides professionals with powerful and robust machines which enable them to work throughout the day due to impressive battery life.

The X-series units offer an ultra-light design with the Portégé X20W-E being 15.4mm wide and weighing just 1.1kg, whilst the 15.9mm Portégé X30-E weighs only 1.05kg, and the Tecra X40-E is just 16.9mm thin and weighs in 1.25kg.

These units also come with a sleek magnesium chassis, complete with honeycomb design for enhanced device strength and security. All of Toshiba’s devices have passed rigorous and independent HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Test) which simulates three years of use, to ensure reliability and durability to withstand the pressures of everyday working life.
