Standard Bank has partnered with Thriving.Network to Launch Kasi Biz Sessions Event in Rustenburg

Standard Bank has partnered with Thriving.Network, an entrepreneurial network company, to bring enterprise development to Rustenburg at Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace on Saturday, October 21, 2017. Rustenburg will be the first to host and experience what the organisers call “Kasi Biz Sessions”.

Kasi Biz Sessions is aimed at entrepreneurs with active businesses in the township. The purpose of the event is to contribute to township elevation through inspiration, mentorship and guidance from already established thriving entrepreneurs, operating within the identified community. The organizers announced Teboho Twala, founder of Zzero Hangover as the keynote speaker. Teboho is also the owner of Soul Africa Group – supplying various equipment and services to mines. Founder of Ditsogo Projects PTY LTD, Tebogo Anna Mashego is also in the speaker line-up. Ditsogo Projects is one of the few black female-owned metal engineering companies in Rustenburg.


The organisers hope to have members of the Rustenburg municipality and North-West provincial government in attendance and are inviting entrepreneurs to submit their business profiles for the Standard Bank Kasi Biz. The pitch allows five local entrepreneurs an opportunity to pitch their business at the event and stand a chance of gaining support from Standard Bank. Owners of township based businesses in the Rustenburg area are invited to send their business profiles to the following email address; to stand a chance to pitch at the event. Ts and Cs apply.
